Where were you born? I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and I have lived here my whole life.
Do you have any siblings? I have an older sister. She is three years older than me and goes to Duke University. Ever since I was little, I've looked up to her and thought that she is the coolest person ever.
Do you play any sports? If you consider horseback riding a sport, then I have been horseback riding since I could sit up. My mom has owned horses my whole life so I spent every day with her at the barn when I was little. I compete in a sport called endurance riding which is like long distance horse racing (except not abusive and forceful to the horse). My horse and I’s personal record is 50 miles in about 10 hours including the time taken for resting and vet checks.
Do you have any pets? My house has always been filled with animals. A lot of my friend’s call my house the “Bunnell Farm.” I have two dogs, two cats, and a bird, not to mention the four horses and donkey who live in my backyard. I’ve spent my whole life constantly surrounded by animals, so this isn’t unusual for me. I think that caring for this many pets my whole life has made me a much more responsible person. The picture I included below is me and my miniature donkey, Louie.
Where are your parents from? Both of my parents are from Fort Wayne, Indiana. They moved to Atlanta before I was born. When I was little I used to travel there every summer to visit my dad's parents, but ever since they moved to Dahlonega I don't go to Indiana as much.
Are you an introvert or an extrovert? I’d say it depends what people I am around. I am definitely an introvert when it comes to meeting new people and talking in front of groups, but when I am with my close friends I am much more of an extrovert.
What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time? Camping and backpacking are definitely my favorite things to do. I’ve been camping with my family for as long as I can remember. My sister’s first steps even took place inside a tent during a huge thunderstorm in the middle of the North Georgia wilderness.
Where do you want to go to college? Over spring break I toured a bunch of colleges. My favorites are CU Boulder and Penn State. The picture I included below is CU Boulder which is definitely my top choice so far.
Do you have any hobbies? I have always loved art, but I never really have time for it. Luckily this semester I was able to take a painting class and it has been really fun.
What do you want to do when you grow up? I honestly have no idea. I would love to do something involving nature and being outside, but I also want to do something that helps other people. Hopefully I will find something in the future that offers both.
What’s your dream travel destination? I’ve always wanted to go to New Zealand. It is so beautiful and unique. When I was little I printed out a bunch of pictures of New Zealand and taped them on the walls in my room in attempt to make it feel like I was there.
